Practising Clinical Psychology for 30 Years
Dr. Sid Freedman has been practising clinical psychology for 30 years, initially at a hospital and then in private practice. Dr. Freedman obtained his Ph.D. in Psychology in 1976. After 10 years of teaching psychology at the university level, he retrained in clinical psychology at the University of British Columbia and completed a pre-doctoral internship at University Hospital in Saskatoon. He has worked at Victoria Hospital (now London Health Sciences Centre) and Children’s Hospital of Western Ontario in London, Ontario, on the Craniofacial Surgery and Maxillofacial Surgery Teams, Burn Unit, Outpatient Medical Clinics, Cystic Fibrosis Clinic and Enuresis Clinic. During this time, he also had a part-time private practice, commencing full-time practice in 2002.

Because Dr. Freedman is a registered psychologist, this enables patients to receive extended health benefits (if available).
Psychological services are not covered by the Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP); however, they may be funded by extended medical benefit plans, auto insurance or the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB).
